Fryars es Ben Garret. Un chico solista londinense de 19 años, que está empezando a sonar y a ser reconocido, sobretodo por Europa, influenciado por David Bowie y Damon Albarn.
Se considera ambicioso y con las metas claras: no pertenecer a las millones de bandas newy - indie. Empezando por que se ha ido abriendo paso de manera fugaz, solo, subiendo su música a blogs y promoviéndola en Bandstock a sus fieles seguidores y fans, que día a día son más.
Pero por lo que se destaca este chico Garret, es por que Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), quedó fascinado con su talento vocal, su voz con un tono único y grave, dándole un toque dulce en sus melodías y ritmos, que hace separarse de sonidos electro-pop y new-rave típicos.
Es por esto que frYars comenzó a elevarse a nivel musical, ya que Dave Gahan colabora en una de sus canciones hits, "Visitors", que para mí, es una canción impresionante, con sonidos y melodías enviciantes, excelente para bailarla sin parar o para simplemente ponerla en tus oídos y disfrutar.
Además destaco la producción gráfica del video, con una onda bien ochentera y fugaces apariciones de Gahan; ideal para ambientar una fiestoca digo yo.
Su primer disco debut, llamado "Dark Young Hearts", se lanzó a finales de Marzo y si ya tiene mil aficionados, como será ahora.
Echenle un look a su myspace , les recomiendo escuchar "The Ides", realmente bella.
